The Easy Way to Learn Mexican Spanish

If you are frustrated with the way your interpretation of the Spanish language and not happy with your progress this is a must read.

 A couple of years ago I managed to take some time out from my work and spent a month travelling through Spain.I visited many small villages on my journey from the North of Spain to the South.

I started at the Pyrenees area where the Spanish seems to be a mixture of French and Spanish and the further south I travelled it changed at every point of the way.

I truly believed my Spanish knowledge to be good but soon realised there was much exciting work ahead. A reasonable example would be to travel the UK go to Ireland and Scotland the different accents.

But don’t despair the reason I am explaining all this that if you are planning to live or travel to Mexico then you need to learn Mexican Spanish which is a some what different to the spoken language in the mainland of Spain. If you need help try to find folks that speak Mexican Spanish for example Puerto Ricans and Colombians. Practice with Ecuadorians and Mexicans. If you try to speak Spanish to a fluent speaker of Spanish they love the fact that you are making an effort. They are always ready to lend a hand. You may have to step out of your comfort zone at first and you may produce a few smiles along the way but that’s the fun and the challenge of learning another language.

 If you are determined to learn Mexican Spanish it is important to submerge yourself with the language. If you are able to think back to when you started out with English as a child it was being fed into your subconscious mind each and every day and I believe that is the attitude you need to acquire. Get into the habit of using the Spanish language every day and you will find this will inspire you.

There are many methods you can use when you are studying Spanish for example when you are travelling in your car is a good way of passing the time. I used listen to my Spanish lessons while I was exercising using my Ipod this planted Spanish into my subconscious mind. The essential thing is to be consistent and have a daily plan and not to quit.
